Our Team
Anthony and Tracy are the owners and operators of Borderland Waterfowl. Anthony brings his love of hunting and the outdoors into every aspect of the business. He has been a professional hunting guide in Saskatchewan and Manitoba for many years. He has guided for both Waterfowl and Big game, but his true passion is for Waterfowl hunting. Anthony also brings over 15 years hunting experience to the field. During season, you will see Tracy bright and early in the mornings when she arrives at the hotel to pick you up, during the day and in the evenings to share a meal with you after a successful day of hunting.
Marlin Penner is a guide for Borderland Waterfowl Services. Marlin has been an avid waterfowl hunter since a young age. He enjoys being out in the field and sharing his knowledge of waterfowl hunting with our hunters. He has been a professional hunting guide for many years. He guides for both big game and Waterfowl. In spring Marlin spends his time in Northern Manitoba guiding for Black Bear and he also returns up north later in the year to guide for Caribou on the Manitoba tundra. Anyone that has hunted with Marlin can tell you that he loves what he does.
Chad Plett and his family live in Grunthal, Manitoba. Chad is a professional hunting guide and in the off seasons he is a Ferrier by trade. Chad is a new addition to Borderland Waterfowl team. He brings a very in-depth knowledge of duck and goose hunting to the field. Chad is very easy going, sociable and strives to make each hunt the best experience possible for each hunter.
Tyler Lafraniere is no stranger to waterfowl hunting. Tyler comes from a family that operated a waterfowl guiding business in the Interlake region of Manitoba. He spends most of his time on the road as a scout for Borderland Waterfowl and guides as needed.
Porter is a 3 year old Akc black lab. He comes from a professional breeder and trainer in Iowa. Porter is a large dog which helps him be able to handle the large Canada's with ease. He loves what he does and keeps the hunters entertained.
Chester is a four year old chessy cross lab. The only words to describe him when it comes to hunting is a machine. He has a drive and determination not very often seen. When you get to hunt with Chester you will see he understands hunting more than some people. This is what Chester lives to do.
At Borderland Waterfowl we have hired the best guides who strive to make everyone's hunts enjoyable. We all work very hard to make your hunt a success from setting decoys, calling, scouting, and bird processing. I ask that all hunters show my guides there appreciation for the hard work that goes into their hunts.
